Solo Fiddle Competition & Duet Competition
Registration will take place before the competitions
5 euro per entry
Each competitor must submit proof of his/her date of birth
Categories: Under 9, 12, 15 and 21
1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for each category

Tunes for Fiddle competition:
Under 9’s: One tune required (Sliabh Luachra based)
Under 12’s: Two tunes of choice required (Sliabh Luachra based)
Under 15 and under 21: Sliabh Luachra style Polka and Slide are both compulsory, plus a Hornpipe or Traditional Air to be played
Maurice O’Keeffe Perpetual Cup will be awarded to the most promising solo Fiddle player.
Tunes for Duet competition:
Under 9’s: One tune required (Sliabh Luachra based)
Under 12’s: Two tunes of choice required (Sliabh Luachra based)
Under 15 and under 21: Sliabh Luachra style Polka and Slide are both compulsory, plus another tune of choice that suits both instruments in the Duet.
NOTE: A duet shall comprise of two melody instruments. Duet members must at all times play the melody of the tune.
Maurice O’Keeffe Perpetual Shield will be awarded to the most promising Duet.
